Who is myclimate?
myclimate is a non-profit organisation that’s been supporting climate protection projects around the world since 2002. Their mission is simple: empower people and businesses to make measurable contributions to climate protection.
They do this in three main ways:
- Measuring carbon emissions (through tried-and-tested scientific methods)
- Helping reduce emissions at the source
- Offsetting unavoidable emissions by supporting certified climate projects
What sets myclimate apart is their commitment to quality and transparency. Their projects meet some of the strictest global standards – including the Gold Standard, developed by WWF and other international NGOs – ensuring every offset is legitimate, traceable, and impactful.
How the process works
Our partnership with myclimate allows us to offer carbon neutral print services through a clear, four step process:
- Measure – We calculate the full carbon footprint of each print device we supply, from manufacturing and shipping through to energy use and maintenance.
- Reduce – Wherever possible, we reduce emissions through energy-efficient technology, smart print software, and best practice usage.
- Offset – Remaining emissions are offset through myclimate’s verified climate projects, from clean energy in developing countries to global reforestation.
- Certify – Each offset is independently verified, with customers receiving an official myclimate certificate for their records.
How this powers our carbon neutral print programme
We’ve teamed up with Kyocera and myclimate to offer carbon neutral printing solutions. When you buy a device from Weaver & Bomfords, we calculate the carbon emissions across its entire lifecycle – including:
- Manufacturing
- Transport
- Energy use over its lifespan
- Servicing and consumables
We then offset those emissions through myclimate’s Gold Standard-certified projects. The cost? Typically under £100 for the full life of the device. The benefit? Total peace of mind that your printing needs are covered without costing the earth.
Every offset comes with a certificate you can use for your sustainability reporting, ISO 14001 documentation, or even just to show your team that you’re making climate-conscious choices.
