Our Installation Process at Weaver & Bomfords
From First Conversation to Final Sign-Off
At Weaver & Bomfords, we believe a successful furniture installation is about much more than simply delivering desks and chairs. It’s a carefully managed process that starts with understanding our client’s needs and finishes with a fully functional and ready-to-use workspace. Here’s how we take your project from initial idea to completed installation.
1. Initial Consultation - Understanding Your Requirements
Every project begins with a consultation. We take the time to understand how many users the space needs to accommodate, the type of work being carried out, any technology requirements and any special considerations such as ergonomic solutions or sit/stand desks.
We also aim to establish your preferred style of furniture, finishes and colours, any corporate identity requirements, and an indicative budget.
2. Measured Survey & Space Planning
Depending on the size and complexity of the project, we will usually carry out a measured survey of the area involved. This includes noting doors, windows, power and data points, and any other relevant features of the space.
Using this information, we produce clear 2D floor plans showing the proposed layout. These plans help you visualise how the furniture will work within your space and ensure everything fits and functions as intended.
3. Layout Design & Product Selection
Once the survey is complete, we provide a product proposal. This stage takes place in our showroom, where clients can see and experience the furniture first-hand. This often helps bring the project to life and gives confidence in the final choices.
4. Order Confirmation & Pre-Installation Checks
Once your order has been confirmed and all project details agreed, we confirm the following information ahead of installation:
- The area will be clear and ready for installation.
- Any decorating or new flooring has been completed.
- Any old furniture has been removed in advance (where required).
- We also agree a suitable date and time for the installation.
5. Installation Day
On installation day, our experienced team arrives on site, usually first thing in the morning. Furniture is offloaded and installed exactly as per the agreed layout plan. We are happy to work alongside IT teams or other contractors where required.
6. Final Checks & Handover
Once installation is complete, every item of furniture is checked to ensure it is level, fully functional and free from damage. Desks and surfaces are cleaned to remove any marks, leaving the workspace ready for immediate use. All packaging and waste materials are removed from site and recycled by us.
7. Aftercare & Follow-Up
Our service doesn’t end when we leave site. We follow up with you a week or so after installation to make sure you’re completely happy and to address any questions or concerns.
Additional Services & Flexibility
Every project is different, and we understand that additional requirements can arise. In some cases, we may be asked to relocate existing furniture within a site or to another location, remove and recycle old furniture, or assist with other logistical challenges. These services are often possible and can be provided, depending on the scope of work.
