Who is the Organisation?

The Fire Industry Association, or FIA, has over 1,000 company memberships and is the UK’s largest trade association for the fire protection industry. They represent members who are improving their methods and services through FIA education and training programs.

What were the project requirements?

WB was invited to provide a design solution, presenting product options and samples to transform a blank canvas building into a national centre of excellence in fire safety.

Given a flexible space that needed to accommodate training sessions, events, and member activities, our goal was to create a functional yet impressive environment that could adapt easily to different uses. We proposed a layout featuring a versatile mix of tables and chairs that could be reconfigured effortlessly, ensuring the space remained practical and dynamic for all users.

What was our process?

We provided a comprehensive layout design for each area, with flexible options tailored to various training, conference, and breakout functions. Carefully selected product samples met the client brief, with fabrics chosen to align with their corporate identity.

Our Project Management team then collaborated with the client to finalise an installation schedule. The Bomford installation team completed the installation efficiently over a two-day period.

What was our solution?

A range of products from UK-based manufacturers created a versatile and stylish environment. This included custom-designed tables, some with integrated wire management, a 16-seat boardroom setup, a large breakout area with bistro-style furniture, and various conference seating options.

The result was a flexible, high-quality space that met the FIA’s functional needs and reinforced their professional image.
