What were the project requirements?
As Sutcliffe experienced growth, they required a major refurbishment of their Liverpool Head Office to better accommodate their expanding team. The aim was to redesign the office space across three floors, optimising layout and efficiency while maintaining a cohesive and functional environment.
WB was tasked with providing a solution to maximise space utilisation, replacing outdated, mismatched furniture, and ensuring minimal disruption to daily business operations throughout the process.
What was our process?
We began with a comprehensive measured survey and created a detailed layout design, which was refined through collaboration with the client. After finalising the layout, we focused on selecting colours, finishes, and testing proposed desks and seating.
To minimise disruption, the installation was completed in four overnight stages, ensuring staff could leave their old workstations at the end of the day and return to fully set-up new workspaces by the next morning.
WB also coordinated closely with IT and electrical teams to install cabling into the bench desk trunking before securing desktops, ensuring a seamless integration for all equipment.
What was our solution?
A flexible bench desk system with integrated wire management and sliding tops, simplifying the process of adding or replacing IT equipment and telephones. Desk screens were installed to define individual workspaces, with computer screens mounted directly onto these screens, freeing up desk space.
High-quality, fully adjustable task chairs and mobile pedestals were supplied for each staff member.
Directors' offices were redesigned to maximise space while incorporating ample storage. WB also outfitted new meeting rooms, breakout areas, and the reception area to complete the office refurbishment.
